Vets Helping Vets of Anderson dedicated the Jesse Taylor Veterans Center at 1856 Bleckley St. on Wednesday, a 4,500 sqft building on 3.5 acres with meeting space, a kitchen, offices, and weekday hours 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; veterans should bring proof of service and call before attending combat meetings.
Festival of Trees runs Nov.
18-21 at Bleckley Station; the online auction opens Nov. 17 and setup is Nov. 15-17. Daytime viewing is free, the Nov. 21 morning Goodies with the Grinch expects about 300, and all proceeds will fund care for uninsured adults, with volunteers needed + able to sign up through the clinic.
