The Anderson County Library will open its Free Halloween Costume Shop at the Main Library on Oct.
1 to offer gently used costumes for children 17 and under; families can donate costumes until Sept. 23 as the shop runs during regular hours through Oct. 31.
On Sept. 11, communities held memorial services to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
At Boiling Springs, officials dedicated a new memorial with a steel beam from Ground Zero + Clemson University hosted a stair climb where locals remembered first responders.
